* This amount was around $1,250 less than the anticipated amount of approximately
$5,500 which had been discussed and unanimously approved by the Board in the
September, 1998 Board Meeting. The change came
upon the action of the Advisory Board Chair based on a recommendation by the
Dayton YMCA CEO with the intent to strengthen the fund's growth.
** $5,000 came from The Carl B. Kern Fund and $1,000 was contributed as a gift from
Friends of Kern, Inc. to assist The Carl B. Kern Fund with completing its pledge.
